✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was shrouded in two striped garments that belonged to Abdullah b. Abi Bakr, and he was wrapped in them, then they were removed from him.” Abdullah b. Abi Bakr had kept that shroud for himself so that he might be shrouded in it when he died. Then after he had kept it, he said, “I would not keep for myself something that Allah withheld from His Messenger ﷺ to be shrouded in,” so Abdullah gave it as charity. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
