حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ مَعْمَرُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ قَالَ
«كَانَ اسْمُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ عَبْدَ الْعُزَّى فَسَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ»
