حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ
رَأَيْتُ حُجْرَ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «أَلَا إِنِّي عَلَى بَيْعَتِي لَا أَقِيلُهَا وَلَا أَسْتَقِيلُهَا سَمَاعَ اللَّهِ وَالنَّاسِ»
