✧ Regarding the Prophet ﷺ, Ibn Abbas wrote to him asking about it. Al-Ash'ari wrote to him, "Indeed, you are a man of your time, and I have not heard anything from the Prophet ﷺ about it except that I was with the Prophet ﷺ when he wanted to urinate. He stood up and urinated against a wall there and said, 'Indeed, the Children of Israel used to collect their urine with a qarad (vessel). So, when one of you wants to urinate, let him turn away from his urine.'"
