أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُزَكِّي ثَنَا الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ رَاشِدٍ النَّبَّالُ أَبُو الْيَمَانِ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ عَاصِمٍ وَكَانَتْ أُمَّ وَلَدِ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُحَبِّقِ الْهُذَلِيِّ قَالَتْ
دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا نُبَيْشَةُ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَمَّاهُ نُبَيْشَةَ الْخَيْرِ دَخَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَعِنْدَهُ أَسَارَى فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِمَّا أَنْ تَمُنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَإِمَّا أَنْ تُفَادِيَهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَمَرْتَ بِخَيْرٍ أَنْتَ نُبَيْشَةُ الْخَيْرِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ»
Translation

✧ Nubayshah entered upon us, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had named him Nubayshah al-Khayr. He entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he had captives, and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, either you show them favor or you ransom them.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You have commanded what is good; you are Nubayshah al-Khayr after that."
