حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ كَانَ أَبُوهُ زَيْدَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ قَدْ فَارَقَ دِينَ قَوْمِهِ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَتُوُفِّيَ وَقُرَيْشٌ تَبْنِي الْكَعْبَةَ وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ
أَنْ يُوحَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِخَمْسِ سِنِينَ فَرُوِيَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يُبْعَثُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَسْلَمَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَارَ الْأَرْقَمِ وَقَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْعُوَ فِيهَا النَّاسَ إِلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَشَهِدَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أُحُدًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ وَالْمَشَاهِدَ كُلَّهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَلَمْ يَشْهَدْ بَدْرًا

✧ It was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that a nation would be raised for five years. It is reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Sa'id ibn Zaid ibn 'Amr will embrace Islam before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ enters the house of Al-Arqam and before he calls people to Islam." Sa'id ibn Zaid witnessed the battles of Uhud, Al-Khandaq (the Trench), and all the other scenes with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but he did not witness the Battle of Badr.
