✧ Fatimah entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while she was crying. He said, "O my dear daughter, what makes you cry?" She said, "O my father, why should I not cry when these chiefs of Quraysh are in the Hijr, swearing by al-Lat, al-'Uzza, and Manat, the third, the other? If they saw you, they would rise against you and kill you, and there is not a man among them but has known his share of your blood." He said, "O my dear daughter, bring me water for ablution." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution, then went out to the mosque. When they saw him, they said, "There he is," and they lowered their heads, and their chins fell between their hands, and they did not raise their eyes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a handful of dust and threw it at them, saying, "May the faces be ugly." No man among them was hit by a pebble from his pebbles except that he was killed on the day of Badr as a disbeliever.
