أَنْبَأَنَا الشَّيْخُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ
لَمَّا مَاتَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ «مَاتَ الْيَوْمَ حَبْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ وَلَعَلَّ اللَّهُ يَجْعَلُ فِي ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِنْهُ خَلَفًا»
