حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ «قُومُوا إِلَى جَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ» قَالَ عُمَيْرُ بْنُ الْحَمَّامِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَرْضُهَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ بَخٍ بَخٍ لَا وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَا بُدَّ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا قَالَ «فَإِنَّكَ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا» فَأَخْرَجَ تُمَيْرَاتٍ فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَئِنْ حَيِيتُ حَتَّى آكُلَ تَمَرَاتِي إِنَّهَا لَحَيَاةٌ طَوِيلَةٌ قَالَ فَرَمَى بِمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنَ التَّمْرِ ثُمَّ قَاتَلَهُمْ حَتَّى قُتِلَ «صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» على شرط مسلم

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of Badr: 'Arise to a Garden whose width is the heavens and the earth.' Umayr ibn al-Hammam al-Ansari said: 'O Messenger of Allah, its width is the heavens and the earth? Excellent! Excellent! By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I must be among its people.' He said: 'Then you are among its people.' He took out some dates and began to eat them, then he said: 'If I live until I eat these dates of mine, that would be a long life indeed.' He threw away what he had of dates, then fought them until he was killed. Sahih according to the condition of Muslim, but they did not include it. According to the condition of Muslim.
