✧ From Salamah b. Salamah b. Waqsh, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that he entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while in a state of ablution. They ate and then left. Salamah performed ablution, so Jubayrah said to him: Were you not in a state of ablution? He said: Yes, but I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and we came out from an invitation to which we were invited, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in a state of ablution. He ate and then performed ablution. I said to him: Were you not in a state of ablution, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Yes, but the matter occurs, and this is among what has occurred. Al-Layth b. Sa'd said: Zayd b. Jubayrah narrated to me from his father Jubayrah b. Mahmud that his grandfather Salamah was the last of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ to die, unless it was Anas b. Malik, for he remained after him. On the condition of Muslim.
