✧ When Mu'adh b. Jabal was on his deathbed, it was said to him: O Abu Abd al-Rahman, advise us. He said: Sit me up. Then he said: Indeed, knowledge and faith are in their place; whoever seeks them will find them. He said it three times. And seek knowledge from four men: Uwaymir Abu al-Darda', Salman al-Farisi, Abdullah b. Mas'ud, and Abdullah b. Salam, who was a Jew and then embraced Islam. For I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “He is the tenth of ten in Paradise.” This has a sound chain of transmission, but they did not record it. Sahih.
