حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

أَرَادَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ سِقَاءٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهُ مَيْتَةٌ فَقَالَ «دِبَاغُهُ يَذْهَبُ بِخَبَثِهِ أَوْ نَجَسِهِ أَوْ رِجْسِهِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ wanted to perform ablution from a waterskin and it was said to him that it was from a dead animal. He said, “Its tanning removes its filth, or its impurity, or its defilement.”
