حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ قَالَ

جَاءَ عَلِيٌّ إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ أَمْسِكِي سَيْفِي هَذَا فَلَقَدْ أَحْسَنْتُ بِهِ الضَّرْبَ الْيَوْمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنْ كُنْتَ أَحْسَنْتَ بِهِ الْقِتَالَ فَقَدْ أَحْسَنَهُ عَاصِمُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَسَهْلُ بْنُ حُنَيْفٍ وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ الصِّمَّةِ»

✧ Ali came to Fatimah on the day of Uhud and said, "Hold this sword of mine, for I struck well with it today." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you fought well with it, then 'Asim ibn Thabit, Sahl ibn Hunaif, and al-Harith ibn al-Simmah also fought well."
