حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدَةَ بِنْتِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ كَبْشَةَ بِنْتِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ ابْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ
أَنَّ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَسَكَبَتْ لَهُ وَضُوءًا فَجَاءَتْ هِرَّةٌ لِتَشْرَبَ مِنْهُ فَأَصْغَى لَهَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ الْإِنَاءَ حَتَّى شَرِبَتْهُ قَالَتْ كَبْشَةُ فَرَآنِي أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَتَعْجَبِينَ يَا بِنْتَ أَخِي؟ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِنَجَسٍ إِنَّهَا مِنَ الطَّوَّافِينَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَالطَّوَّافَاتِ»

✧ Abū Qatādah entered upon her, and she poured water for his ablution. A cat came to drink from it, and Abū Qatādah tilted the vessel for it until it drank. Kabshah said: He saw me looking at him and said: Are you surprised, O daughter of my brother? I said: Yes. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “It is not impure; it is one of those that go around among you, male and female.”
