✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "He will be killed by the rebellious group." So 'Amr stood up in alarm and went to Mu'awiyah and said to him, "What is the matter with you?" Mu'awiyah said, "Just now 'Ammar ibn Yasir has been killed." 'Amr said, "Has 'Ammar been killed?' Mu'awiyah replied, "Yes, he has been killed, but by 'Ali and his companions." They brought him until they threw him among our spears or swords, according to their agreement, and did not kill him by this method (i.e. crucifixion), as stated in the conditions of both Bukhari and Muslim.
