كَمَا أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ قَالَ
خَبَّابُ بْنُ الْأَرَتِّ مَوْلَى ثَابِتِ ابْنِ أُمِّ أَنْمَارٍ وَثَابِتٌ مَوْلَى الْأَخْنَسِ بْنِ شَرِيقٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ وَقِيلَ خَبَّابٌ مَوْلَى عُتْبَةَ بْنِ غَزْوَانَ

✧ Khabbab b. al-Aratt was a mawla of Thabit b. Umm Anmar, and Thabit was a mawla of al-Akhnas b. Shariq al-Thaqafi. And it was said: Khabbab was a mawla of Utbah b. Ghazwan.
