أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ بِالسَّاقَةِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثَنَا سَلْمَانُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

دَعَا أَبُو عَبْسِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِطَعَامٍ صَنَعَهُ لَهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اخْلَعُوا نِعَالَكُمْ عِنْدَ الطَّعَامِ فَإِنَّهَا سُنَّةٌ جَمِيلَةٌ» يحيى وشيخه متروكان

✧ Abu Abs b. Jabr al-Ansari invited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to food he had prepared for them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Remove your sandals when eating, for it is a beautiful sunnah." Yahya and his shaykh are abandoned.
