أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رُسْتَةَ ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ
«كَانَ أَبُو عَبْسِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ وخُنَيْسُ بْنُ حُذَافَةَ السَّهْمِيُّ مِنْ كِبَارِ الصَّحَابَةِ وَشَهِدَ أَبُو عَبْسٍ بَدْرًا وأُحُدًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ وَالْمَشَاهِدَ كُلَّهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَكَانَ فِيمَنْ قَتَلَ كَعْبَ بْنَ الْأَشْرَفِ»
Translation

✧ "Abu Abis ibn Jabr and Khunays ibn Hudhaafah al-Sahmi were among the noble companions. Abu Abis witnessed the battles of Badr, Uhud, the Battle of the Trench, and all other major events along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He was also among those who participated in the killing of Ka'b ibn Ashraf."
