حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَوْفِيُّ ثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو سُهَيْلِ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُجَهِّزُ أَوْ كَانَ يَعْرِضُ جَيْشًا بِبَقِيعِ الْخَيْلِ فَاطَّلَعَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «هَذَا الْعَبَّاسُ عَمُّ نَبِيِّكُمْ أَجْوَدُ قُرَيْشٍ كَفًّا وَأَحْنَاهُ عَلَيْهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was equipping, or reviewing, an army at Baqi' al-Khayl when al-Abbas b. Abd al-Muttalib appeared. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'This is al-Abbas, the uncle of your Prophet, the most generous of Quraysh in hand and the most compassionate toward it.'
