✧ The Islamization of Abbas and the Variance of Narrations During His Time

أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي بِمَرْوَ ثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُجِلُّ الْعَبَّاسَ إِجْلَالَ الْوَلَدِ وَالِدَهُ خَاصَّةً خَصَّ اللَّهُ الْعَبَّاسَ بِهَا مِنْ بَيْنِ النَّاسِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to honor al-Abbas with the reverence a child has for his father, especially, a reverence Allah singled out al-Abbas for among all people.
