✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to Abdullah b. Mas'ud, "Recite." He said, "Should I recite while it was revealed to you?" He said, "I love to hear it from someone else." He said: He began Surah al-Nisa' until he reached: {So how will it be when We bring from every nation a witness, and We bring you as a witness against these?} [al-Nisa' 41]. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wept, and Abdullah stopped. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Speak." So he praised Allah at the beginning of his speech, extolled Allah, sent blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, bore the testimony of truth, and said, "We are pleased with Allah as Lord and Islam as religion, and I am pleased for you with what Allah and His Messenger are pleased." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am pleased for you with what Ibn Umm Abd is pleased for you."
