أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوْحٍ الْمَدَائِنِيُّ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنَا أَبُو الْمُعَلَّى الْجَزَرِيُّ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِ الشُّورَى هَلْ لَكُمْ أَنَّ أَخْتَارَ لَكُمْ وَأَنْقَضَي مِنْهَا فَقَالَ

عَلِيٌّ أَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ رَضِيَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَكَ «أَنْتَ أَمِينٌ فِي أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ أَمِينٌ فِي أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ» أبو المعلى هو فرات بن السائب تركوه

✧ ʿAli said: I am the first to be pleased, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to you: "You are trustworthy among the people of heaven, trustworthy among the people of earth." Abu al-Muʿalla is Furat b. al-Saʾib; they abandoned him.
