أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقْرِئُ ثَنَا أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَتْ

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى بُسْرَةَ وَهِيَ تُمَشِّطُ عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَ «يَا بُسْرَةُ مَنْ يَخْطُبُ أُمَّ كُلْثُومٍ؟» قَالَتْ فَسَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا أَوْ رَجُلَيْنِ قَالَ «فَأَيْنَ أَنْتُمْ عَنْ سَيِّدِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ؟»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon Busrah while she was combing ʿAʾishah's hair and said: "O Busrah, who is asking for Umm Kulthum's hand?" She said: I heard one or two men. He said: "Then where are you concerning the leader of the Muslims, ʿAbd al-Rahman b. ʿAwf?"

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ في إسناده يعقوب بن محمد الزهري وهو ضعيف
