حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ ثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ
«مَاتَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ لِتِسْعٍ مِنْ سِنِّي عُثْمَانَ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانَ وَكَانَ قَدْ بَلَغَ خَمْسًا وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً»

✧ Abd al-Rahman b. Awf died in the ninth year of Uthman's caliphate, and Uthman prayed over him. He had reached seventy-five years of age.
