وَحَدَّثَنِي مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ وَأُمُّهُ وَأُمُّ أَخِيهِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ الشِّفَاءُ بِنْتُ عَوْفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ بْنِ كِلَابٍ وَكَانَتْ قَدْ هَاجَرَتْ قَبْلَ الْفَتْحِ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ عَمْرٍو فَسَمَّاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ
Translation

- Muṣʿab b. ʿAbdullāh
✧ Abd al-Rahman b. Awf b. Abd al-Rahman b. al-Harith b. Zuhra. His mother and the mother of his brother al-Aswad b. Awf were al-Shifa bt. Awf b. Abd b. al-Harith b. Zuhra b. Kilab. She had emigrated before the conquest. Abd al-Rahman's name was Abd Amr, so the Prophet ﷺ named him Abd al-Rahman.
