أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ النَّسَوِيِّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ثنا عَمَّارُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ

«وَشَهِدَ الْعَقَبَةَ الْأُولَى وَالثَّانِيَةَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ أَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ بْنُ التَّيْهَانِ وَاسْمُهُ مَالِكٌ حَلِيفٌ لَهُمْ وَهُوَ نَقِيبٌ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا وَلَا عَقِبَ لَهُ»

✧ He attended the first and second Aqabah pledges from the Ansar, then from Banu Abd al-Ashhal: Abu al-Haytham b. al-Tayhan, whose name is Malik, an ally of theirs. He was a naqib (representative) and witnessed Badr, and he has no descendants.
