حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ شُيُوخِهِ أَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ تَيْهَانَ اسْمُهُ مَالِكُ بْنُ بَلِيِّ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ إلْحَافَ بْنِ قُضَاعَةَ حَلِيفٌ لِبَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ
وَقَالَ وَأَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ بْنُ التَّيْهَانِ وأسعدُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ مِنْ أَوَّلِ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ بِمَكَّةَ وَمِنْ أَوَّلِ مَنْ لَقِيَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَبْلَ قَوْمِهِمْ وَقَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ بِذَلِكَ وَشَهِدَ أَبُو الْهَيْثَمُ الْعَقَبَةَ مَعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَهُوَ أَحَدُ النُّقَبَاءِ الِاثْنَيْ عَشَرَ لَا خِلَافَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ وَآخَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ التَّيْهَانِ وَعُثْمَانِ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ وَشَهِدَ أَبُو الْهَيْثَمِ بَدْرًا وَأُحُدًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ وَالْمَشَاهِدَ كُلَّهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

✧ And he said: Abu al-Haytham b. al-Tayhan and As'ad b. Zurarah were among the first of the Ansar to embrace Islam in Makkah, and among the first to meet the Messenger of Allah ﷺ before their people. They brought this to Madinah. Abu al-Haytham attended the Aqabah pledge with the Muslim Ansar, and he was one of the twelve representatives, with no disagreement among them about that. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ established brotherhood between Abu al-Haytham b. al-Tayhan and Uthman b. Maz'un. Abu al-Haytham witnessed Badr, Uhud, the Trench, and all the expeditions with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
