✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The status of one in the path of Allah for an hour is better for him than his entire life with his family." Suhail said, "And I will remain stationed (in the battlefield) until I die and never return to Mecca." So, he remained stationed in the Levant until he died from the plague of ‘Amawas. Indeed, this plague occurred in the Levant in the year eighteen after the Hijrah." Al-Dhahabi excluded it from the summary due to its weakness.
