أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ
«كَانَ شُرَحْبِيلُ ابْنُ حَسَنَةَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَغَزَا مَعَهُ غَزَوَاتٍ وَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْأُمَرَاءِ الَّذِينَ عَقَدَ لَهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ عَلَى الشَّامِ»

✧ Shurahbil ibn Hasanah was one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he campaigned with him in several expeditions. He was one of the commanders whom Abu Bakr al-Siddiq appointed over Syria.
