أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ
«قُبِضَ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ أَوْ أَرْبَعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً» هَذَا الْقَوْلُ مِنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ أَقْرَبُ إِلَى الصِّحَّةِ مِنَ الَّذِي تَقَدَّمَ
