أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ لَوْ أَدْرَكْتُ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ لَاسْتَخْلَفْتُهُ وَمَا شَاوَرْتُ فَإِنْ سُئِلْتُ
عَنْهُ قُلْتُ اسْتَخْلَفْتُ أَمِينَ اللَّهِ وَأَمِينَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
