أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الدَّقَّاقُ بِهَمْدَانَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا عَتِيقُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ
«أَخَذَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ فَرَبَطُوا يَدَهُ إِلَى عُنُقِهِ وَأَدْخَلُوهُ مَكَّةَ يَضْرِبُونَهُ وَيَجُرُّونَهُ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ وَكَانَ ذَا جُمَّةٍ طَوِيلَةٍ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه

✧ The polytheists captured Sa'd b. Ubadah, tied his hand to his neck, and brought him into Makkah, beating him and dragging him by his forelock, and he had long hair. Al-Dhahabi omitted it from the Talkhis because of its weakness.
