✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ learned of Abu Sufyan's approach, he spoke, but Abu Bakr turned away from him, then Umar spoke, but he turned away from him. Sa'd b. Ubadah said: O Messenger of Allah, by the One in whose hand is my soul, if you ordered us to plunge into the sea we would plunge, and if you ordered us to strike their livers to Bark al-Ghimad we would do it. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ summoned the people, and they set out until they stopped at Badr. Authentic according to the condition of Muslim, but they did not include it. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
