فَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو سَعِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ «اسْتُشْهِدَ يَوْمَ مَرْجِ الصُّفْرِ خَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ» قَالَ
خَلِيفَةُ «وَهُوَ فِي سَنَةِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ» قَالَ «وَتُوُفِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عَامِلُهُ عَلَى الْيَمَنِ»

✧ Khalifah said, 'And it was in the year thirteen.' He said, 'And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died while he was his governor over Yemen.'
