حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُسْتَةَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا الْوَاقِدِيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْحَبَشِيُّ عَنْ آبَائِهِ عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسِ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ قَالَتْ
«تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَعُكَّاشَةُ ابْنُ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً وَقُتِلَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِسَنَةٍ بِبُزَاخَةَ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ وَكَانَ عُكَّاشَةُ مِنْ أَجْمَلِ النَّاسِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ died when Ukkashah was forty years old, and he was killed a year after that at Buzakhah during the caliphate of Abu Bakr in the year twelve. Ukkashah was one of the most handsome of people.
