✧ virtues of Ja'far b. Abi Talib b. Abd al-Muttalib b. Hashim, who was martyred in the Battle of Mu'tah in the eighth year of Hijrah.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَرَّ بِي جَعْفَرٌ اللَّيْلَةَ فِي مَلَأٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَهُوَ مُخَضَّبُ الْجَنَاحَيْنِ بِالدَّمِ أَبْيَضُ الْفُؤَادِ»
