أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا أَبُو مُوسَى حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْمُسَاوِرِ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُسَاوِرٍ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ ثنا جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «اهْتَزَّ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ لِمَوْتِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ» قَالَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لِجَابِرٍ فَإِنَّ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ «اهْتَزَّ السَّرِيرُ» فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بَيْنَ هَذَيْنِ الْحَيَّيْنِ الْأَوْسِ وَالْخَزْرَجِ ضَغَائِنُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «اهْتَزَّ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ لِمَوْتِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The Throne of the Most Merciful shook for the death of Sa'd b. Mu'adh." He said: A man said to Jabir: "But al-Bara' says: 'The bier shook.'" He said: "There were grudges between these two tribes, al-Aws and al-Khazraj. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The Throne of the Most Merciful shook for the death of Sa'd b. Mu'adh.'"
