أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْإِمَامُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَقَدْ كَانَ أَبُو مُوسَى ثنا بِهِ عَنْهُ فِي الرِّحْلَةِ الْأُولَى فَلَمَّا قَدِمْتُ سَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَحْيَى فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ قَالَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ لَمَّا حُمِلَتْ جَنَازَةُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ
الْمُنَافِقُونَ مَا أَخَفَّ جِنَازَتُهُ وَمَا ذَاكَ إِلَّا لِحُكْمِهِ فِي بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «لَا وَلَكِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ كَانَتْ تَحْمِلُهُ»
Translation
Chain of narrators
- ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī b. Ziyād
- Muḥammad b. Isḥāq al-Imām
✧ The hypocrites said: "How light his funeral is! That is only because of his judgment concerning Banu Qurayza." This reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: "No, rather the angels were carrying him."

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم
