حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِحَمْزَةَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَقَدْ جُدِعَ وَمُثِّلَ بِهِ وَقَالَ «لَوْلَا أَنَّ صَفِيَّةَ تَجِدُ لَتَرَكْتُهُ حَتَّى يَحْشُرَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ بُطُونِ الطَّيْرِ وَالسِّبَاعِ» فَكَفَّنَهُ فِي نَمِرَةٍ «صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» على شرط مسلم

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by Hamza on the day of Uhud after he had been mutilated and disfigured, and he said, "Were it not that Safiyya would grieve, I would leave him so that Allah would gather him from the bellies of birds and beasts." So he shrouded him in a namira. [Sahih according to the condition of Muslim, but they did not include it.] According to the condition of Muslim.
