✧ Abdullah b. al-Kawwa', Shabib b. Rib'i, and people with them withdrew from Ali after his return from Siffin to Kufa, because they objected to his cursing of Abu Bakr and Umar and those after them among the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They opposed him and revolted against him. Ali went out to them, argued with them, and then returned without fighting. In the hadith of Abu Ishaq al-Fazari, from Shu'ba, from Salama b. Kuhayl, from Abu Juhayfa, there is an addition of some wording, including Ali's saying: 'I will not live with you in a town until I meet Allah ﷻ.' Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
