Notes
machine translationThis is a ḥadīth with a sound chain (ṣaḥīḥ al-isnād), though the two of them (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not narrate it. In its chain is ʿUmar b. al-Ḥasan, and I hope that he is truthful (ṣadūq); were it not for that, I would have judged it sound according to the condition of the two Shaykhs. It has a supporting report (shāhid) from the ḥadīth of ʿUrwah from ʿĀʾishah. I think that it is he, meaning ʿUmar b. Ḥasan al-Rāsibī, who fabricated this.
