حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ ثنا قَبِيصَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«تَدُورُ رَحَى الْإِسْلَامِ عَلَى خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ بَقِيَ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ فَسَبْعِينَ عَامًا» قَالَ عُمَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِمَا بَقِيَ أَوْ بِمَا مَضَى؟ قَالَ «بِمَا بَقِيَ»

✧ 'The millstone of Islam will turn for thirty-five or thirty-six years. If they perish, then it is the way of those who perish; but if their religion remains for them, then for seventy years.' 'Umar said, 'O Messenger of Allah, with what remains or with what has passed?' He said, 'With what remains.'
