حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يُونُسَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُصْعَبٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْغَفَّارِ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَتْلُ جَعْفَرٍ دَاخَلَهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى جَعَلَ لِجَعْفَرٍ جَنَاحَيْنِ مُضَرَّجَيْنِ بِالدَّمِ يَطِيرُ بِهِمَا مَعَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ

✧ When news of the killing of Ja'far came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, grief entered him because of that. Gabriel came to him and said, 'Allah, Exalted is He, has given Ja'far two wings dyed with blood, with which he flies among the angels.'
