حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْخَيَّاطُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ الْبَزَّازُ ثنا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

«أَخْطَأَ النَّاسُ فِي الْعَدَدِ مَا عَدُّوا مِنْ بَيْعَتِهِ وَلَا مِنْ وَفَاتِهِ إِنَّمَا عَدُّوا مِنْ مَقْدَمِهِ الْمَدِينَةَ»
