✧ Abu Talib recited verses to the Negus urging them to treat them well as neighbors and to defend them: 'Let the best of people know that Muhammad is a vizier to Moses and the Messiah, son of Mary. He brought us guidance like what they brought, and each, by Allah's command, guides and protects. And you recite it in your book with truthful speech, not the speech of the mubarjim. No band comes to you seeking your favor but that they are returned with honor.'
