✧ That a man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "How was the beginning of your affair, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "My wet nurse was from Banu Sa'd ibn Bakr. I went with a son of hers to tend some lambs of ours, and we did not take any provisions with us. I said: 'O my brother, go and bring us provisions from our mother.' My brother went, and I remained with the lambs. Two white birds came like two eagles. One of them said to the other: 'Is it he?' The other said: 'Yes.' They came hastening to me, took me, laid me on my back, split my belly, then extracted my heart and split it, and took out two black clots from it. One of them said to the other: 'Cleanse it,' meaning 'mark it,' and 'seal it with the seal of prophethood.' Then one of them said to the other: 'Put him in one scale and put a thousand of his nation in the other scale.' I looked at the thousand above me, fearing they would fall on me. They said: 'If his entire nation were weighed against him, he would outweigh them.' Then they went away and left me. I was terrified with a great fear. Then I went to my mother and told her what I had seen. She feared that I had been afflicted, so she said: 'I seek refuge for you with Allah.' She saddled a camel of hers, placed me on the saddle, and rode behind me until we reached my mother. She said: 'I have fulfilled my trust and my duty,' and told her what I had encountered. That did not alarm her, and she said: 'I saw a light come out of me that illuminated the palaces of Syria.'"
