✧ When Moses son of Imran's Lord spoke to him, he wished to look at Him. He said: "My Lord, show me that I may look at You." He said: "You will never see Me, but look at the mountain; if it remains firm in its place, then you will see Me." So He surrounded the mountain with angels, surrounded the angels with fire, surrounded the fire with angels, and surrounded the angels with fire. Then your Lord manifested Himself to the mountain, then manifested from it something like a little finger, and He made the mountain level. Moses fell down thunderstruck for as long as Allah willed. Then he recovered and said: "Glory be to You, I repent to You, and I am the first of the believers," meaning the first of the Children of Israel to believe.
