✧ «That Salih the Prophet ﷺ was from the Arabs. When Allah destroyed 'Ad and their affair came to an end, Thamud flourished after them and were made successors in the earth, and they spread. Then they became arrogant against Allah. When their corruption appeared and they worshipped other than Allah, Allah sent Salih to them. They were an Arab people, and he was of their middle in lineage and their best in position. Their dwellings were al-Hijr to Qar', which is Wadi al-Qura, eighteen miles between al-Hijr and al-Hijaz. Allah sent him to them as a young lad, and he called them to Allah until he became gray-haired and old, and none followed him from among them except a few who were deemed weak. Then 'Ad and Thamud perished, and those of those nations who were from them. They were from the offspring of Lawidh b. Sam b. Nuh, and there was no prophet between Nuh and Ibrahim before him — meaning before Ibrahim — except Hud and Salih.»
