✧ The account of Isaac when God commanded Abraham to sacrifice him. God granted Abraham Isaac on the night the angels left him. When he was seven years old, God revealed to Abraham to sacrifice him and make him an offering. In those days the offering was accepted and taken up. Abraham concealed that from Isaac and all people and confided it to a close friend of his. Al-Ghazir al-Siddiq said—and he was the first to believe in Abraham—Siddiq said to him: "God does not test the likes of you with such a thing, but He wants to try and test you. Do not think ill of God, for God will make you a leader for mankind. There is no might and no power for Abraham and Isaac except with God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful."
