كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَوْمًا فَجَاءَهُ بَنُو أَبِي لَهَبٍ يَخْتَصِمُونَ فِي شَيْءٍ بَيْنَهُمْ فَقَامَ يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَدَفَعَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ فَوَقَعَ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ فَغَضِبَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَقَالَ أخْرِجُوا عَنِّي الْكَسْبَ الْخَبِيثَ يَعْنِي وَلَدَهُ {مَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ}

✧ I was with Ibn 'Abbas one day when the sons of Abu Lahab came to him disputing about something among themselves. He got up to reconcile between them, and one of them pushed him, so he fell onto the bed. Ibn 'Abbas became angry and said: 'Get out of my sight, you vile earnings!' meaning his offspring, {His wealth and what he has earned will not avail him}.
